About
My name is Chantal Kerr. I have been working on my personal gardens for twenty years and in early 2023 I decided to turn my passion for gardening into a career by enrolling in the University of Guelph's horticulture diploma program. I'll complete my diploma in December 2024 and I look forward to using this knowledge to help my west coast community with their gardens and plants. As part of my horticulture diploma I've completed courses such as soils and plant growth, integrated pest management, plant identification, ecological design, naturalizing and restoring landscapes, and business principles in horticulture. The remaining courses I'm enrolled in are landscape design, arboriculture, and vegetable production. My main interests with gardening involve organic gardening, native plants, edible gardens and turning residential and commercial properties into functioning spaces that support the enjoyment of people, local wildlife and a healthy ecosystem that mimics nature.
Services
All services are provided with manual or battery powered tools to minimize my carbon footprint and noise, plus any fertilizers used are organic.
Lawn Maintenance
Mowing, string trimming, edging, leaf/grass blowing, dethatching, overseeding, fertilizing, aerating.
Garden Maintenance
Weeding, mulching, fertilizing, light pruning, edging, spring clean-ups, fall/winter plant and garden dormancy preparation.
